The final round of the British Formula 3 Championship and the penultimate round of the British GT Championship took place over the weekend of the 25/26th of September on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Despite the Formula 3 Championship having been already decided the drivers still fought hard for victory, the conditions on Sunday afternoon being particularly challenging with rain falling part of the way through the race with the majority of the field on slick tyres. In the GT Championship the championship could still be taken to the final round at the revitalised Donington Park circuit, but with a number of incidents and retirements the GT3 and G4 championships were decided in favour of David Ashburn (GT3) and Jamie Stanley/Christian Dick (G4).
