BTCC Round 1
Jason Plato returned to the BTCC championship in a deal only finalised a few days before the first round. Driving a RML prepared Chevrolet Lacetti, Jason was playing catch with the rest of the teams who had completed their pre-season testing and preparation. In the final of the 3 races at the opening round held at Brands Hatch, the Chevrolet Lacetti was victorious having been handed pole position following the drawing of lots. The final race capped a typically action packed day featuring the BTCC, Porsche Carrera Cup, Formula Renault, Renault Clio Cup, Ginetta G50 and Ginetta Junior categories.
