A sneak peek of a few photos from Saturdays qualifying day for the final rounds of the 2010 BTCC Championship. Current points leader Jason Plato qualified on pole in a record time. Four drivers go into tomorrows final 3 races with a chance of winning the championship.

The final round of the British Formula 3 Championship and the penultimate round of the British GT Championship took place over the weekend of the 25/26th of September on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Despite the Formula 3 Championship having been already decided the drivers still fought hard for victory, the conditions on Sunday afternoon being particularly challenging with rain falling part of the way through the race with the majority of the field on slick tyres. In the GT Championship the championship could still be taken to the final round at the revitalised Donington Park circuit, but with a number of incidents and retirements the GT3 and G4 championships were decided in favour of David Ashburn (GT3) and Jamie Stanley/Christian Dick (G4). The ever popular HSCC meetings returned to Brands Hatch on the Indy Circuit. Although a lower key meeting than the two day Superprix held on the Grand Prix circuit there was still a very good turn out of classic racing machinery. A large gallery of photos from the Formula Ford 2000, 70s Road Sports, Formula Junior, Classic Touring Cars, Formula Ford, Road Sports, Classic Formula Three, Classic Racing Cars and the Guards Trophy are now online to view and purchase.

With an eclectic mix of classes the Dunlop Great and British festival offered a great deal of on track action. A larger photo gallery from the Dunlop Motorsport Saloon Cars, BMW CSL Cup, Autosport Young Guns, Dunlop Sport Maxx Production Cup, Mini Challenge and Radical UK Cup can now be viewed.

The British Touring Car Championships retuned from their extended summer break at Snetterton in Norfolk. The high speed nature of the circuit always produces close racing, the turbo charged LPG powered Arena Fords were thought to be pre-race favourites but the victories went to Gordon Shedden and Jason Plato. A full gallery of BTCC, Porsche Carrera Cup, Formula Renault, Renault Clio Cup, Ginetta G50 and Ginetta Juniors are now online. Photos from the earlier round on the Brands Hatch GP rounds are also available.

The major talking point after 7th round of the FIA World Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch wasn’t the penalty for Alain Menu for stretching the rules somewhat in race one or the wins for Yvan Muller and Andy Priaulx. An extraordinarily violent crash in the 2nd race of the SEAT Eurocup Championship caused a great deal of consternation among the crowd until it was confirmed that nobody had been injured, a video of the crash has now become a minor YouTube hit. Photos from the FIA WTCC, Trofeo Maserati GranTurismo MC, Formula Two and SEAT Leon Eurocup are now online.

Clive Chapman and his team at Classic Team Lotus put together an amazing display of one of every type of Lotus Formula One car at Snetterton in Norfolk. Add to this the men and machinery from Lotus Racing and a full program of racing making a superb day.
